[ Pay once, keep it ]

No Subscription. Yours Outright.

Many signature tools charge a fee every month or every year, often for each person. Mine you pay for once, whichever way you go.

Subscription signature tools

  • A monthly or yearly fee, often per person
  • The fee keeps going for as long as you use it
  • Some switch your signature off when you stop paying

My signatures

  • $50 once with the builder, or $250 once designed for you
  • Each extra person is a one-off too: $25, or $50 for custom
  • The signature is yours outright
  • Hosted on your website, so it keeps working for as long as your site does

A team of five on the builder: $150, once.

Six Steps, One Zip File

Six steps here, then three on your own website. The signature redraws as you type. When it looks right, add the rest of the team and download, then put your logo, headshot and icons on your website and copy your signature into your email.

1Where will you use it?

This picks the install steps that come with your download.

2Pick a layout

Twenty layouts, all in your colours and font. Click any card to see it in the preview. Each card says how many social icons it carries, and the ones that use a photo strip, a tagline, a button or a rating ask for it at step 3. If your main colour is light, its panels turn white so every word stays readable, in dark mode too.

3Your brand

Your logo and your two brand colours. Use the eyedropper or type your hex codes.

A transparent PNG works best: no background box, at least 400px wide. SVG, JPG and WebP also work.

A white or light version of your logo, for when your main logo is dark. A transparent PNG works best here too, at least 400px wide.

Your signature's logo, headshot and icons load from your website, so you need a website and a login to its back end, the admin area where you add images. If someone else looks after your site, they can upload them for you.

Shows as a line with a map pin, linked to Google Maps. Leave it blank if people never come to you.

These are the fonts every email app already has, so your signature shows exactly as designed. A brand font from your website cannot be used, because Gmail and Outlook do not load it.

Social channels. Paste the full link or just your handle. Leave blank any you do not use. Icons appear in the order shown here.

4Who is it for?

Start with yourself, then add your team. Headshots are optional: a square photo with the face in the middle, at least 400 pixels each way, JPG or PNG. The builder crops it to the shape you choose.

Applies to everyone's headshot. The Tagline layout keeps its arch.

A bigger team? It takes two uploads.

  1. The spreadsheet. Download the template, fill in one row per person with their full name, role, email and phone numbers, then upload it here. Everyone appears as a row below.
  2. The headshots. Save each photo with the person's full name as the file name, spelled the same way as in the spreadsheet, for example Sam Taylor.jpg. Then click Add team photos and select every photo at once, or drag them onto this box.
  3. Check every face. Each photo lands on its person's row. A photo the page cannot match is listed just under these steps for you to pick who it is. No photo for someone? That is fine: their signature simply goes without one.

5Check it

Look at the preview on the right (it sits under the form if you are on a phone). Check every name, number and link. What you see is what you download, and once it is installed it looks the same for everyone you email, whatever app they use.

6Pay and download

Press the button and a secure Stripe payment form opens over this page, so nothing you have entered is lost. Once the payment goes through, you get one zip file: an images folder to upload to your website (you need a login to its back end), and a finish page where you paste one image's web address. It checks the logo, headshot and icons, then gives you each signature with a Copy signature button and the install steps for the email app you chose at step 1.

Secure payment by Stripe. The payment form opens right here. Your card details go straight to Stripe and never touch this website. Stripe emails your receipt, and your files download the moment the payment goes through.

+Then, on your website

Open the zip. Everything you need is in it, and the finish page walks you through it.

  1. Upload the images folder to your website, the same way you add any image. This needs a login to your website's back end. If someone else looks after your site, send them the folder.
  2. Open Finish your signature and paste the web address of one image. It finds the rest and checks each one is right.
  3. Copy each signature with its button and paste it into your email app. The steps for the app you chose are on the page. Send yourself a test.

Email Signature Design,
Done for You

Sometimes a layout is not enough. You have a brand with its own marks and colours, or a campaign to promote. That is when I design it.

You send me your logo (a transparent PNG works best), brand colours and details, and I design it from scratch around them. $250 for the first person and $50 for each extra team member, built from the approved design.

  • One-off payment, no subscription
  • Three different signatures on one page for you to choose from
  • One round of changes on the one you pick
  • Tested in Gmail and Outlook web before it comes back to you

Your signature's images are hosted on your own website, never mine, so there is never an ongoing hosting fee and your signature keeps working for as long as your site does. If I built your website, I put them there for you. If not, you or whoever looks after your site uploads them and sends me the links.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will my signature show properly on phones and in Gmail, Outlook and Apple Mail?
Yes on Gmail, Apple Mail and the new Outlook. The signature is built as a simple table, with the logo, headshot and icons loading from your own website at twice their size, so they are sharp on every screen and quick to open on a phone. It is the same method I use for my own signature and my clients' signatures. I show three of the layouts, and why most signatures break on a phone, in my email signature examples article.
Will the people I email see it properly, whatever they use?
Yes. Once it is installed in Gmail, Apple Mail or the new Outlook, every email you send carries a normal signature with normal images, and the person reading it sees it as designed on desktop or phone, in Gmail, Apple Mail, Outlook of any age or anything else. The one thing you may notice is Outlook holding back your logo, headshot and icons until the reader allows images from a sender it does not know yet, which happens with every email signature from every tool.
Do I need a website?
Yes, and a login to its back end, the admin area where you add images. Your signature's logo, headshot and icons load from your own website, so you need both before you start. If someone else looks after your site, they can upload the images for you. A logo, headshot or icons packed inside the file get sent as attachments by Outlook, slow the email down on a phone and show as broken boxes in some phone mail apps. Loading them from your site avoids all three. The download includes an images folder: you upload it to your website the same way you add any image, paste one web address into the finish page, and it finds and checks the rest. They sit on your site, never mine, so there is never a hosting fee.
What is the difference between the $50 builder and the $250 custom signature?
The builder gives you one of twenty studio layouts in your own colours with your logo, headshot and details, ready in about ten minutes, and you preview it before you pay. The custom signature is designed from scratch around your brand: I send you three options on one page, you pick one, you get one round of changes, and I test it in Gmail and Outlook web before it comes back to you. Extra team members are $25 each on the builder and $50 each on a custom signature.
Is there a subscription or a monthly fee?
No. Both are one-off payments: $50 for the first person and $25 for each extra with the builder, or $250 and $50 for each extra for a signature I design. Either way the signature is yours outright, and because its logo, headshot and icons are hosted on your own website, nothing of mine it depends on, so it keeps working for as long as your site does. Many signature tools charge a monthly or yearly fee, often for each person, and some stop your signature working when the subscription ends.
Can I make signatures for my whole team?
Yes. Add each person on the page, or download the spreadsheet template, fill in a row per person and upload it. For headshots, save each photo with the person's full name as the file name, like Sam Taylor.jpg, then add them all at once: each one lands on the right person, and the page asks about any it cannot match. Everyone gets the same layout and branding with their own name, role, email, phone numbers and headshot, and the download is one zip with everyone's signatures in it and one images folder for the whole team, uploaded once. The first signature is $50 and each extra person is $25.
What do I get when I download?
A zip file with three things in it: an images folder for your website, a Finish your signature page, and a preview of each person's signature for checking. Upload the images to your website, open the finish page in your browser and paste in one image's web address. It finds the rest, checks the logo, headshot and icons, then shows each signature with a Copy signature button and the install steps for the email app you chose. There is nothing to install and no account to create.
Do you keep my logo or my team's details?
No. The builder runs entirely in your browser. Your logo, photos and details never leave your computer until you upload the images to your own website, and nothing is stored on my side. The only record of your order is the payment receipt.
Is the payment secure?
Yes. Payment is handled by Stripe, the same payment company behind millions of online shops. The payment form opens on this page, your card details go straight to Stripe and never touch this website, and Stripe emails you a receipt. You can pay by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. Prices are in Australian dollars.
Should I put a photo in my signature, and what kind works best?
A photo is optional, but it helps people put a face to the name and it makes the email feel like it came from a person rather than a company. Use a clear headshot with your face in the middle and a plain background, taken in good light. The builder crops it into a circle or a rounded square, your choice, so a square photo of at least 400 pixels works best. Skip it if you would rather keep it simple, and the layout adjusts.
What logo file should I upload?
A transparent PNG works best: a PNG with no background, at least 400 pixels wide, so your logo sits cleanly on any colour. SVG, JPG and WebP also work. If your logo is dark, upload a white or light version as well so it sits properly on your brand colour in the colour panel layout. A JPG with a white background will work on the white layouts but will show as a white box on a coloured panel. The page tells you if a file is too small to look sharp.
Why can I only choose from a handful of fonts?
Email apps cannot load web fonts, so a signature set in a font the reader does not have installed quietly falls back to whatever their computer picks. The fonts in the list are the ones already on Mac, Windows, iPhone and Android, which means the signature you see is the signature they see.
Can I add a booking button, a rating or a promotion?
Some of it, yes. The Book a call layout has a real button that links to your booking page, the Rated layout carries your own review score, and the Tagline and Quote layouts give you a line in your words. A promotional banner, a video or anything designed around your brand from scratch is a custom signature.
Can I change my signature later?
The file is yours to keep and use for as long as you like. If you spot something within 14 days, change it on this page in the same browser and download again, for the same number of people or fewer, at no charge. After that, or if your details change later, build it again as a new purchase. Leave the old images on your website: every email you have already sent loads its logo, headshot and icons from there.
How do I create an HTML email signature?
An HTML email signature is one built from a small table with your logo and icons as small image files, which is what lets it keep its layout in every email app. You do not need to write any code: the builder on this page makes the HTML for you. Pick a layout, add your logo, colours and details, and the download is an images folder for your website plus a finish page that gives you the finished signature and the install steps for Gmail, Apple Mail or the new Outlook.
What is the proper format for an email signature?
Name, role, business, one phone number, your email address and your website, and a handful of social icons if people actually use them. Between 400 and 640 pixels wide so it sits inside a phone screen, a font every device has, and the logo, headshot and icons loaded from your own website with their size set. That is what every layout here follows. Leave out inspirational quotes unless they are in your voice, long legal disclaimers, and anything that only works in one email app.
How do I add an HTML signature to Outlook?
In the new Outlook and Outlook on the web, open the Finish your signature page from your download in a browser, click Copy signature, then paste it into Settings, Mail, Compose and reply, New signature. The download includes the exact steps.
Do you make signatures for classic Outlook for Windows?
Not at the moment. My signatures, whether you build one here or I design it for you, are made for Gmail, Apple Mail and the new Outlook. Classic Outlook for Windows handles a signature's logo, headshot and icons its own way and can send them with every email as attachments, so I do not offer signatures for it. If you also use Gmail, Apple Mail or the new Outlook, choose that in step 1. The people you email see your signature properly whatever they read it in, classic Outlook included.
What if something is wrong with the file?
You see the full signature in the preview before you pay, so what you download is what you saw. If the file does not work as described, email me with a screenshot and I will put it right or refund it. Nothing in it tracks opens, clicks or anything else, and nothing depends on my website staying up: your logo, headshot and icons live on yours.
